![]() ![]() and I really don't understand the idea that knowing what my next-month's financial situation will look like is somehow a bad thing. ![]() I understand about allocating your money when it comes in, but when paychecks get out of phase with payments, it seems like this budget method doesn't really work. The problem with that theory (give every dollar a job when it comes in) is that people who get paid bi-weekly and pay things out on a monthy schedule have to deal with the fact that our paycheck and our expenses are out of phase.īeing able to see the next 3 months' income and expenses all laid out in front of me (which is what I already do with Excel) makes it easier to put money in its place, because I can see when my paychecks and my payments are getting out of phase and make changes accordingly (this bill comes out of my #2 paycheck for the month, rather than #2.)
